Chair of Forest Techniques and Economics

At the Chair we conduct pedagogical and research work in the field of Forest Techniques and economics. Currently, there are nine pedagogical staff members. Teaching takes place in all years and at all levels of undergraduate and graduate study. In-depth knowledge is also acquired in the MSc programme in elective and non-elective subjects. We have modern pedagogical and research equipment which enables us to maintain a high level of quality in our classes. Emphasis is placed on intensive fieldwork and research activities, and foreign lecturers are frequently involved in the pedagogical process.

Pedagogical work in the chair

The field of Forest Techniques and Economics in Forestry is the focal point of pedagogical work in our Chair. At two levels of undergraduate studies and one level of graduate study, students acquire basic and in depth knowledge of technologies, economics, organization of work in forest and companies, forest roads, forest policy, forest products, ergonomy and work safety.

Research work
