"Algae from production to plate"
Dear Sir or Madam!
You are cordially invited to the final conference of the EIP BlueGreen project, which will take place on 10 April 2025 at 9:00 am at the Dean's Office of the Biotechnical Faculty in the large hall of Janez Hribar (D1), 101 Jamnikarjeva Street, 1000 Ljubljana. The detailed programme is attached.
The EIP project aims to integrate the cultivation of the microalga Spirulina (Arthrospira platensis) into the Slovenian agricultural landscape. In Slovenia, there is a great interest in spirulina as it is used in the human diet as a food supplement rich in proteins, vitamins and minerals, and the market currently offers mainly products of Chinese origin.
By creating the right supportive environment, including legislation, we want to give domestic producers a new business, additional income and the opportunity to expand production. This will contribute to increasing self-sufficiency, reducing dependence on imports and providing Slovenian consumers with quality and fresh spirulina.
