Invitation to the event
“AGROVOLTAICS - Challenges and Opportunities”
Wednesday 26.3.2025 at 13.00 in lecture room A4
Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Biotechnology (Jamnikarjeva 101, 1000 Ljubljana)
Agrovoltaics is a technology that combines agriculture and solar energy. It involves the installation of solar panels over agricultural land, allowing food to be grown and renewable energy to be produced at the same time. The benefits of agrovoltaics include improved energy efficiency, protection against extreme weather conditions, optimisation of land use and a sustainable approach.
It represents an important step towards sustainable development, as it allows for a reduction of the carbon footprint while facilitating the transition towards cleaner energy sources.
