Recognitions, awards

The Faculty of Biotechnics Award is presented to individuals employed by the Faculty (teaching and non-teaching staff, researchers) and groups composed of these individuals, individuals outside the Faculty and groups composed of these individuals and organisations, graduates of undergraduate studies and graduates of postgraduate master's studies.

Faculty awards are granted to employees of the Faculty (teaching and non-teaching staff, researchers) and to groups consisting of these individuals for exemplary teaching work, significant published scientific and professional works, technical solutions, inventions, discoveries and patents, selection and breeding of new varieties, plants and animals, other notable achievements in the field of professional work and production, other work of significance for the development of the Faculty, the enhancement of the Faculty's reputation and the significant improvement of the Faculty's material possibilities.

Faculty awards shall be granted to individuals from outside the Faculty and to groups consisting of such individuals for their participation in the teaching work of the Faculty, for enabling students to carry out practical work with individuals or organisations, for their participation in research and professional work, for the popularisation of studies in the fields of study of the Faculty, for the significant improvement of the material possibilities of the Faculty, and for other work of significance for the development of the Faculty.

Faculty awards are awarded to graduates of first and second cycle study programmes who have completed their studies in the previous calendar year and have achieved an average grade in examinations and exercises (excluding the thesis) of at least 9.5 during the course of their studies.

The Faculty's recognition is awarded to students of the old post-graduate Master's degree programme who have obtained the degree of Master of Science in the previous calendar year, were no older than 27 years of age, and achieved an average mark of at least 9.0 in all examinations in the Master's degree programme, and the maximum sum of points represented by the average mark of all examinations in the Master's degree programme and the points obtained by scoring scientific works or artistic activities according to the criteria of the ARRS, as calculated in the SICRISS system.

The awards of the Faculty of Biotechnics are awarded in accordance with the Rules on Awards and Prizes of the Faculty of Biotechnics.
