Biography

Andrea holds a bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Nutrition from the University of Ljubljana, where she also completed her master’s studies in Biotechnology. During her master’s program, she began a traineeship at Novartis in Slovenia and completed her thesis on developing a multi-attribute method based on peptide mapping for characterizing and monitoring protein quality attributes. Following this, she continued her career at the Winter Laboratory at the CeMM Research Center for Molecular Medicine in Vienna. As a Research Assistant there, she focused on a large-scale collaborative project with Pfizer on Targeted Protein Degradation. Furthermore, in August 2022, she joined the CeMM Molecular Discovery Platform, where she worked on proteomics-related projects. Andrea is now a doctoral candidate at the University of Ljubljana, conducting microbiome research on grape microbial communities as part of the Eco2Wine project within the HE/MSCA Doctoral Network.
